Certified for Sustainability

Sustainability is important to us.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, it is important for us to have Oregon Professional Logger (OPL) certification. The OPL program is a voluntary, professional standard that qualifies logging operators through an extensive education program utilizing current information in forest practices, safety, business practices, and sustainability. The program is managed and presented by the Associated Oregon Loggers and meets the requirements of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI).

The importance of having OPL certification means the work we perform will always be done in a sustainable manner. This includes paying attention to water quality when operating around water, minimizing soil disturbance to ensure ongoing soil productivity, managing around sensitive wildlife species, having an awareness of forest aesthetics, and always doing our part to prevent wildfire. The training we have went through for our certification ensures we know and understand best management practices associated with the forest operations we perform. All work we do for our clients will be up to the OPL standard.

Bell Excavating & Logging LLC is proud to have completed our certification as Oregon Professional Loggers (OPL), in addition to owner Chad Bell completing his personal certification as a Qualified Professional (QP).
